Dress me up, take me out

Tangy tahini sauce/dressing: I’ve never really liked salad dressing. I think it’s either too creamy, too artificial tasting, or it reminds me of mayo, which I despise. In this case, I was inspired to make this tahini sauce for my falafel salad. Aside from one issue which is totally minimal, it turned out fantastic and I love it. I found that there was way too much water in the recipe and it ended up thin and watery. I just poured it in without thinking to experiment so next time I’ll definitely do that.

  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 2 tbsp nama shoyu (or soy sauce if you can’t find it)
  • 1/2 large or 1 very small clove garlic, minced (optional)
